THE ANGELS (KTLA) – The biggest names in pop, rock and country come together to raise funds for the victims of Eaton’s Palisades and Forest Fires and help recovery.
A charity concert, FireAidwill take place Jan. 30 at two venues, one at the Intuit Dome and the other at The Kia Forum, organizers announced Thursday.
More than 15 musical acts have been announced so far, including Billie Eilish & Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Jelly Roll, Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, P! nk. , Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rod Stewart, Sting, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Tate McRae and performing together for the first time, Dave Matthews and John Mayer.
Additional artists will be announced in the coming days.
This special event is produced by Shelli, Irving and the Azoff family along with Living Nation i AEG presents. Fans around the world will be able to contribute to the cause as FireAid will be broadcast and streamed live on Apple Music and the Apple TV app, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+Netflix/Tudom, Paramount+, Prime Video and Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, exclusively on “LIFE with John Mayer”, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps and YouTube, and at select AMC theater locations in 70 US markets. iHeartRadio will serve as FireAid’s national audio partner, using its more than 860 radio stations, digital platforms and the iHeartRadio app.
KTLA, owned by The Hill’s parent company, Nexstar Media Group, is a broadcast and streaming partner of FireAid. KTLA Vice President and General Manager Janene Drafs said the station reached out to its partners at the Intuit Dome in the early stages of planning the concert to see how we could help.
“They immediately welcomed KTLA into the conversation. From the beginning, they knew this concert had to be about more than just music; it also had to share the stories of personal loss and heroic efforts of our first responders.” , Drafs said.
“As a local news organization, we are very honored and humbled to provide images from the fire lines and share some of the meaningful stories we have reported with FireAid organizers,” he added. “This footage captured by KTLA will be integrated into this unprecedented streaming event.”
