Stevenson: Schofield will withdraw from the fight

Shakur Stevenson is convinced challenger Floyd Schofield could pull out of their fight on February 22, using some excuse he’s devised to wriggle out of the bout.

WBC lightweight champion Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs) says Team Schofield’s accusations that he has a spy in camp who gets secrets, slashes tires and tampers with his passport are all signs he will retire.

Shakur predicts retirement

It’s not a good idea for Stevenson to continue to discuss his unproven theory about Kid Austin pulling out of the fight because he’s talking about the rest of the match, and that will make the fans lose interest. He has to talk about the fight and try to get the fans excited about it.

Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) doesn’t seem to be afraid of Stevenson and sounds confident that he will be able to run him over and defeat the lightweight champion. We don’t know how well Shakur will hold up in the fight as he is coming off right hand surgery and still didn’t use that hand last week in practice.

“It just seems to me that they are trying to get out of the fight. They say, ‘He did all this,’ and then when they don’t show up for the fight, that will be an excuse. They will try to blame me and say something I did. Some fake shit that needs to be kicked out of the fight,” Shakur Stevenson said Cigar talk about Floyd Schofield and his father.

“I don’t have to. We’re dealing with Kid Austin. I’ve seen him fight before. He’s going to throw a big, heavy left hand,” Shakur said when asked about the Schofield team’s claims that they believe Stevenson has spies trying to get information about their training methods.

“He (Schofield) will change and then throw a sharp left hand over the top. He will throw a powerful left hook. His right hand isn’t really a dick. It’s science. Nothing new will happen. He’s not going to beat anybody else,” Shakur said.

It would be interesting to know if Shakur really believes that Schofield is trying to get out of the fight, as it suggests that his beliefs are not grounded in reality. Stevenson is not a good judge of people, as it is obvious that Kid Austin is not going to back down and sees this as his big opportunity. The money is good, and this is Floyd’s chance to turn himself into a star with a win.

If Schofield is afraid?

“I don’t need to do any extracurricular crap to take advantage of it. I think he’s afraid, and I’m starting to fear the fact that he might withdraw from the fight. I train my bitch, signed, and then you withdraw from the fight. It’s a dick bro,” Shakur said.

“I don’t even have to watch the tape (of Schofield). I’ve seen it before. I know what to expect,” Shakur said.
