Half a dozen nominees to serve in President-elect Trump’s administration will appear before Senate committees to confirmation hearings on wednesday
The list includes former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump’s nominee for attorney general; Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), his pick for Secretary of State; Russell Vought, whom Trump selected to lead the Office of Management and Budget; and John Ratcliffe, the candidate to head the CIA.
A busy week of hearings began Tuesday when Pete Hegseth, Trump’s pick to lead the Pentagon, appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Also on Wednesday, the Senate will continue to consider the Laken Riley Act and President Biden is scheduled to deliver a farewell address to the nation.
