Severance follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott) and his colleagues at a fictional biotech company called Lumon, who undergo brain surgery that separates their work from their lives. When they are in the office, they don’t remember their outside life and vice versa. But strange things begin to happen, including the sudden shooting of a friend of many years, which pushes Mark and his friends to question the company they work for and its motives.
