President Biden kicks off his farewell tour of Washington this week with a address Monday at the State Department to highlight his work in foreign policy during his presidency.

Biden is expected to defend his foreign policy legacy, including reconnecting the US with its allies and strengthening NATO.

Biden oversaw two major wars in Ukraine and Gaza, which dominated US foreign policy affairs during his one term as president. Although he is credited with strengthening Ukraine’s defenses against Russia, some Democrats have criticized his handling of the war between Israel and Hamas.
