Manchester United are reportedly closing in on their first signing of the January transfer window in the form of talented young Paraguayan left-back Diego Leon.
This is according to the latest information from a reliable journalist about the transfers of Fabrizio Romano via his official account at X, and the Italian journalist claims that Leon is in Manchester today for a medical and an official announcement confirming his move.
Manchester United is speeding up negotiations for ANOTHER signing of the left back!
See below for more details in Leon’s move to Man Utdincluding the fee structure, plus the date he will actually join, as it is not a deal that will go through immediately…

Leon looks like a good prospect who could have a big future in the game and United fans will no doubt be excited about his arrival in the summer of 2025.
The 17-year-old is unlikely to be a regular in Ruben Amorim’s first team any time soon, but he already exists undoubtedly the need for a new left back.
It remains to be seen what MUFC decide to do with Leon, but we know that some players progress faster than others, so the South American teenager could soon find himself ready to make an impact.
United could do with an upgrade on injury-prone Luke Shaw, while it’s conceivable that Tyrell Malacia’s future is also in doubt after a lack of impact in his time at the club, while he too has struggled with injuries.
At the same time, however, the Red Devils could feel they could do with some more proven arrivals in that position, with Leon possibly signed for the next two or three years in mind rather than next season.
