Napoli could now reportedly be in the mix for a potential move for Manchester United’s unfit Marcus Rashford this January.
It seems very likely that Rashford is set to leave Man Utd this monthwith a number of top clubs across Europe linked with the England international in recent weeks.
As well as AC Milan and Barcelonanow it seems that Napoli could be in the running for Rashford’s signature due to the fact that Antonio Conte’s side look set to lose Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Manchester United is ready for a Premier League star in form!
This is according to a report from Daily Mirrorwhich states that Napoli have more or less conceded defeat in the hope of keeping Kvaratskhelia, who looks set to be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s been a tough season for Napoli as they lost star striker Victor Osimhen in the summer, and now it looks like another key figure in Kvaratskhelia could also be heading for the exit door.
The Georgia international has been a joy to watch during his time in Serie A, providing great skill and flair on the left, perhaps meaning a big move like this was inevitable at some point.
However, if Napoli can bring in Rashford for the second half of the season, it could soften the blow of losing such an important attacking player.
Even if Rashford has not been at his best for some time, he has proven to be a major threat down that left when he is fit and full of confidence.
Perhaps it’s not too surprising that the 27-year-old has lost some of his motivation at Old Trafford, with a new challenge like this looking like just what he needs.
However, the Mirror suggests that Rashford’s preferred destination would be Barcelona, so it will be interesting to see if Napoli can get the replacement for Kvaratskhelia that they so badly need.
