As part of its presentation at CES 2025, peripheral game developers and consoles My arcade revealed a number of new hardware products, all of which focus on retro gaming. The range of devices range from handhelds to arcade cabinets, and several have been developed in collaboration with game companies such as Bandai Namco and Capcom.
The big reveal at the event was My Arcade’s Gamestation Retro collection, which offers three different products: The Gamestation Retro Go, a handheld device; Gamestation Retro Pro, console; and the Gamestation Retro Mega, a table top arcade cabinet. All three are scheduled to be available for Q3 and will feature several retro games built into each system, including Pac-Man, Galaga, Pole Position, Street Fighter 2 and Mega Man, among others.
The GameStation Retro devices retail for around $200, $150 and $300 respectively. According to My Arcade, this line of consoles is part of its mission to “(bring) retro games to a modern audience.” The company also announced two different controllers, the Gamestation Retro Gamepad and the Gamestation Retro Arcade Stick.
The company also revealed – or perhaps re-revealed – its Super RetroChamp console, a handheld that can play SNES and Sega Genesis cartridges. It can also be supported and used by other controllers, especially for those who want to play co-op. My Arcade originally showed off the Super RetroChamp at CES 2020, and they say they plan to launch it later this year.
