Google is testing a new “Daily Listen” feature that creates podcasts based on your Discover feed. The company confirmed to TechCrunch that Daily Listen is an AI-based music playlist designed to help you stay informed about your favorite topics.
The service is available on Google’s Android and iOS apps and will be open to US users who have chosen to test the company.
With Daily Listen, you’ll find a five-minute long podcast episode that gives you an overview of the news and topics you’re interested in. heads.
Daily Listen is built into Discover, so the topics you follow on Search and Discover in the Google app will help you personalize your listening, Google says.
Google also says that Daily Listen is like NotebookLM Audio Reviews A feature, which creates a podcast with AI hosts based on the content you have shared with the app, such as academic readings or legal documents. With Daily Listen, you get a summary of things to know based on your interests.
If you have access to the app, you’ll see a new “Daily Listen” section on your home page when you open the Google app. The card will show a play button that shows you the length of the podcast, and from there, you can import the audio.
Once you open the section, you can start listening to the podcast along with the transcripts. You can scroll down to see “related articles” that take an in-depth look at topics you’re interested in.
