Sen. McConnell appears to be fine after collapsing at GOP luncheon

Republican leader of the Senate Mitch McConnellR-Ky. dropped during a GOP lunch on Tuesday.

Fox News reported seeing a wheelchair in the senator’s office shortly before 1 p.m., and a short time later, a fire and rescue team from Washington, DC, left his office.

McConnell did not attend the Senate GOP’s weekly presser on Tuesday.

When asked about McConnell’s fall during the presser, Sen. John Thune said McConnel was fine.

“He’s in his office,” Thune said. “And any other questions about Senator McConnell, I’ll refer to staff.”
