Thomas Frank shared a sincere message to Brentford fans after moving to Tottenham.
Frank officially split with bees after almost decades of the service, replacing Ange Postecoglou, who was released last week after a poor Premier League campaign, despite providing the Spurs his first trophy in 17 years.
Frank’s departure marks the end of Era to Brentford, where he initially joined as an assistant before taking his post in 2018.
During his term, he led the club through one of the most successful periods in his history, including a promotion to a top -notch flight.
Frank said in his farewell statement: “It’s time to move on. But even when I leave, I know that I left a large part of my heart at Brentford, not only at the football club, but also with the community and, of course, amazing and loyal fans.
“I want to give my deep gratitude to the club for giving me the opportunity to make my dreams come true and for anyone involved who have made the trip with such an unforgettable one.
“For my family and I, it was a privilege to be allowed to be part of such a special community – it is an experience and adventure we will nurture for life. So thank you.
“Whatever we have achieved, we have achieved together, and our success is built on unity, spirit, courage and ambitions at all levels of the club and among the fans.”
“Everyone contributed and every contribution was invaluable. I don’t just leave a football club, I say goodbye to friends whose support will always carry with me through good and bad times.
“So, although this is goodbye, I hope that the relationships I have built with everyone is permanent and, of course, we will meet again in the beautiful world of football.”
Brentford’s director of football, Phil Giles, also paid tribute to Frank’s legacy, remembering some of the significant achievements of the club under his leadership.
“It was a pleasure to work together with Thomas,” Giles said.
“There were so many special moments with Thomas and no one will ever forget the day on Wembley for the Play-offs finals or that emotional first game of the Premier League against Arsenal.
“We will never forget Thomas, but now it’s time to thank him and take the following steps on our path with a new leader that we believe can be equally successful and influential.”
Frank leaves Brentford with an impressive record, securing 132 victories during his time, which ranked him as the third best successful manager in the club’s history.
