Cristiano Ronaldo diminished any concept of personal rivalry on the eve of the final conflict between the Portuguese League nation with Spain, where he will first face the teenage sensation of Lamina Yamal.
“There are different generations, one is coming and the other comes out of the stage. If you want to see me as another generation, that’s fine,” said the 40-year-old Portugal captain.
“When you talk about the conflict between Cristiano and someone else, this is not so. The media is always trying to break out things, which is normal, but that is one team compared to another.”
Despite the media narrative, Sunday’s match in Munich is formed as a symbolic passage of a torch: Ronaldo, probably the greatest player of his generation, is facing Yamal, and is widely considered the brightest teenage star in world football.
They both found the net in their semifinals, setting this long -awaited final. Yamal helped the Spanish exciting victory of 5-4 over France, while Ronaldo scored a decisive goal in Portugal’s victory over Germany.
For Yamal, the finals come just a few days before his 18th birthday. It is already advertising as Ballon D’Or, the Barcelona wing player enjoyed the amazing beginning of his career, both at the club and internationally.

Both players talked to each other in the ride to the match.
Ronaldo told a teenager, “This child is really doing well in a club and a national team that helps him a lot.
“It’s a great atmosphere for him to show his quality.
“Let it grow, do not put it under pressure so we can enjoy such a talent for many years.
“I would like to take the pressure off him and leave him alone. There is a lot of talent.”
Yamal was equally respected by saying, “He is a football legend. And I, like all players, have great respect for Cristiano.
“This is a kind of game I want to play, prove who I am.”
