Man United and Chelsea want to add defensive quality to their teams for the next season, and both have lined up the same goal in their efforts to achieve this goal during the summer broadcast.
Man United was incredibly laid back last season, and although a lot of guilt fell on goalkeeper Andre Onana, their defense was under a couple. In the meantime, in Chelsea, there is a desire to bring a new back that can compete with Levi Colwill, Trevo Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo.
And according to El Chiringuitou (by the way Football Spain), both clubs set their sights on the Aymeric Laporte. Man United has already been bidd by representatives of the Spanish International, while Chelsea is said to have monitored the situation before the possible move during the summer broadcast.
Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Napoli have also outlined the proposals of Laporte’s agent, with former Manchester City defender seemingly seemingly eager to return to Europe. And if the Premier League move is what he wants, he will have the opportunity to do it.
Laporte was a favorite during his stay in Man City, so he would score his relationship with the club’s supporters if he moved to Man United. But from the perspective of those on Old Trafford, it would be a great signature, as the 31-year-old last summer during the Euro 2024 showed that he could still compete at the highest level.
Al-Nassr spent 27 million euros to sign Laportes from Man City, and it is believed that they will seek to make up for that amount to make it easier for his departure this summer. This fee should be accessible to Man United or Chelsea, although in the case of the former it is likely to need to be sales first.
