Jermall Charlo Rockets to WBA #2 in a super middle scale

Jermall Charlo raised his #2 in the WBA ladder in the super middleweight category after defeating Thomas Lamann’s passengers in Las Vegas last Saturday night, with a technical knockout in the sixth round.

Super middle weight weakness

The 168 -pound division is so weak that Charlo has been moved to #2 reasonable thing. It’s not like there is a lot of a big talent in the weight class that deserves to be ranked more. #1 is Bektemir Melikuziev. The new temporary champion WBA is Armando Resendiz, who last Saturday night derunted the Caleb factory.

  3. Lester Martinez
  4. Plant
  5. Edgar Berlang

Charlo looked impressive against Lamanne (39-6-1, 18 ko), lowering him in round 3, 4 and 5 before the competition was stopped in the 6th round by the doctor by the hoop. Jermall didn’t look so bad because he was out of the ring for two years. He showed power on an elite level throughout the whole apple that is probably the best in the division. Charl’s time was not excluded, and there seemed to be a little extra weight.

Jermall Vs. Billing statistics

  • Charlo: 67 out of 210 shots by 31.9% connection
  • Lamanna: 19 out of 150 blows for 12.7%

When the fight was stopped in the sixth round, Jermall was on the results of 60-52, 60-52 and 60-52.

Whoever appears as the winner of the fight Canelo Alvarenz against Terrence Crawford could be interested in fighting Jermaall, because he is now the most prominent fighter after the defeat of Plant.

Jermall and Plant have planned the following fights, but it is questionable if they will now. The plant was beaten last Saturday night by a split decision into 12 rounds. Ultimately, the decision will be on PBC.

Charlo can always fight Resndiz for his temporary WBA title, and the belt is positioned for the world title hit against the Canelo-Crawford winner. However, this risk probably should not be taken over. That would be a dangerous fight for a 35-year-old Jermall. It is pointless that he takes over the 26-year-old resendiz when he does not need it.

Charl’s great chances of fighting

Charl’s name recognition is more than enough. In addition, Canelo is reportedly reluctant to fight Mexicans. So, this excludes Resndiz by getting the title title against him if he still holds an undisputed championship after fighting Crawford on September 13th.

Some fans complain about social media at the World Boxing Association of Jermall (34-0, 23 KO) so high after one fight in a 168 pound division after two years of dismissal. They feel that Charlo, 35, was supposed to fight more than once in 168, before the rocket is in #2 place on the WBA ladder.

With Jermall’s recent history of taking repeated two -year breaks, it makes no sense to give him a high ranking. However, if Charlo disappears again, it will be moved after a year or two.
