Tottenham’s coach is the new boss West Brom

Ryan Mason left Tottenham to become the new West Bromwich Albion champion manager.

The 33-year-old coach has signed a three-year contract that will replace Tony Mowbay on Hawthorns.

Mason said, “This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an amazing fans base and I’m excited about what we can achieve together.

“After talking to the Committee and those at the club for a long time, I am convinced that Albion is the perfect place for me and I can’t wait to start.

“I will bring with me a huge amount of enthusiasm, dedication and ambition and look forward to a positive future together at such a fantastic club.”

Mason played 70 times for Spurs, but reduced his playing career in 2018 after holding a broken skull in the Premier League at Chelsea in Chelsea.

He has twice assumed the duty of Tottenham as a guardian, including the Carabao Cup 2021 finals.

West Brom finished ninth in the championship last season.
