Ruben Amorim suffered his second successive defeat as Manchester United manager, and his first at Old Trafford, as Nottingham Forest won 3-2 in a thriller at Old Trafford.
Amorim’s side conceded early in both halves to compound their midweek defeat at Arsenal as Nikola Milenkovic, Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood scored for the visitors who claimed their first win at United’s ground in three decades.
Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes hit the home net on a day when the Red Devils paid tribute to their long-time and much-loved receptionist, Kath Phipps, who died this week aged 85.
It was Forest’s second trip to Manchester in four days after a 3-0 defeat by Manchester City on Wednesday. But this time the visitor’s trip to the city was much happier.

United were twice conceded from a corner against the Gunners and were again punished from a set-piece when the towering Milenkovic rose highest to head home a corner inside 90 seconds.
It was the Serbian international’s first goal for Forest and the worst possible start for Amorim’s team.
The visitors have shown on several occasions this term that they can keep the lead so moments later it was no surprise to see a wall of light blue shirts lunging to block Amado Diallo’s low shot from a routine set piece.
But Forsest was not in the lead for long when, in the 18th minute, Alejandro Garnach was pushed into the path of Hojlund by goalkeeper Matz Sels.
The Danish striker was ready to knock the ball into the net to level the scores.
From then on, it was something of a tug-of-war between the two teams.
Jota Silva, nicknamed the ‘Portuguese Jack Grealish’ thanks, in part, to his physical resemblance to the Manchester City man, hit the crossbar with a header just before the half-hour mark.
United then returned the favor when Sels deflected a Fernandes free-kick on to the box five minutes before half-time.

But immediately after the break, Forest repeated their first-half antics when Gibbs-White fired past Andre Onana after Fernandes had given the ball to Callum Hudson-Odoi cheaply.
The winger played the ball to Forest’s number 10 who launched a ferocious attack which the United stopper failed to stop.
The in-form Wood, who was celebrating his 33rd birthday, extended Forest’s advantage soon after when he headed Gibbs-White’s deep cross over the bar.
The ball eluded everyone before falling into the opposite side of the net giving Wood his 10th league goal of the season and seeing him become Forest’s leading goalscorer in the Premier League era.

Fernandes then made amends for his earlier mistake by pulling a goal back, sweeping the ball home after good work from Diallo in the build-up.
Out of nowhere, the game became a thriller. Dalot and Diallo had half-chances as the visitors looked to close the contest.
Substitute Marcus Rashford and Lisandro Martinez then saw volleys go wide, but Forest held on to end a 30-year wait for a win at Old Trafford.
