The search for Josh Taylor to become a worldwide champion with two weights hit a current speed with a defeat to Ecowa Essuman to this Hydro in Glasgow.
The 34-year-old former indisputable junior champion in the velter category lost his previous two duels from Jack Catterall and theophima Lopez before making the decision to move up to 147 LBS.
Taylor’s debut in Welterweight was followed by a cunning 36-year-old European WBO champion and although the fighter Prestonpans began Jarko, he slowly conquered him and overthrew Essuman, who unanimously won, reached 116-113, 116-112 and 115-112.
UP for Grabs was an empty WBO Global Welterweight Championship, and Glasgow Arena swung his enthusiasm on the first bell.
Essuman born in Bocvani, who struggles from Nottingham, Scotsman immediately haunted, and found her left hand aimed at further cheering from a pile of support house.
Taylor held herself on the front foot, and his stitch controlled the distance, but he was under pressure for the magic in the third round, because Essuman first showed his goods, which piled up the crowd in some surprise.
Taylor soon returned to the climb, and a few more lefts passed through the guard.
Essuman was sent against a rope with a rapid attack by Taylor, but immediately responded with strong shots that ran into the ropes.
Five rounds first saw between two fighters for the first time, while Essuman seemed to grow in confidence and belief, a firm right hand caught her opponent as she was supported against the rope.
It was Taylor’s turn to throw himself as Essuman moved forward with a threat, and the crowd was silent.
Essuman continued to work diligently on Taylor, who looked like a slowdown, he certainly lacked an earlier shutter, and the left eye seemed to open from the conflict of the heads.
By the eighth round, Taylor’s fans realized that he was in a real difficult encounter.
Essuman, remained calm and calculated with his defense at the point, found gaps in Taylor’s defense, especially with the right hand of Ramrod, which re -landed in the ninth round, and in the next round boxer Prestonpans found himself on the ropes that took a short sentence.
The audience tried to gather Taylor, but it was Essuman that ended the circle with another tumultuous.
The 11th Circle brought a few combinations from Esseman with Taylor Dance Safe, but it seemed that the Nottingham fighter had certainly ended stronger to send Scotsman back to the drawing board.
