Although we only have a few weeks since the official start of summer, the weather has been pretty cool lately, just like late spring, and it’s a great time to ride. Recently, I was able to do a regular three-hour brisk ride without sciatica symptoms. I’ve been doing a lot of PT work to keep my lower spine open and strengthen the surrounding muscles to support the area. Apart from that, I avoided the long and hard riding. It’s either a long brisk parade or a shorter day like intervals and strength training. Not only does it avoid symptoms, but I like this combination.
Most of my rides are still on my horizontal pose. I’m just riding on a shorter upright. I still have to strengthen my butt to prolong my upright riding because when I last opened my sciatic nerve, it became soft. I’m solving this problem.
