Erik Ten Hag OK to return Ajax after the departure of Phariolia

Erik Ten Hag could be back to Ajax after the technical director of the club said he was in a narrow election to replace Francesca Farioli.

Farioli resigned yesterday after a dramatic collapse in the late season of Amsterdams, who saw the title Eredivisie go to the rival PSV Eindhoven.

Ten Haga has no job after Manchester United released him in October, and Ajax’s Alex Kroes hinted that he could be perfect for taking over at the Arena.

“Erik Ten Hag has been on the list for a long time,” Kroes said to the Dutch television station nose. “He is known, he is a fantastic job when he was here.

“I talked to him briefly on Sunday. He was in the Arena as a spectator.”

Ten Hag enjoyed a huge success in the first break in Ajax

Ten HAG’s previous magic, between 2018 and 2022, saw him win three Eredivisie crowns and take the club in the last four Champions League 2019, when Tottenham beat them late.

That record saw him crack on United Job, but after a promising start, it went wrong at Old Trafford.

He managed to win two trophies – EFL Cup 2023 and FA Cup 2024 – but struggled to prove that he was a real man for a job and was discharged with United 14 on the Premier League table.

If he returns to Ajax, the ascending mobile detachment will take over to their failure to ask for a domestic title.

Pharioli Pink is not associated with a title collapse

Pharioli’s side had a nine-point lead at the top of the table with only five games, only to suffer a string without a four-game win that opened the PSV door.

Italian claimed that failure, however, did not influence his decision and that he had already decided to walk after finding that his time frame for future success was not aligned with the one in the Committee.

Speaking yesterday, he said, “My decision has nothing to do with the title fight. But I feel that it is the best choice, especially for the club.

“I informed the players this morning. It was a very emotional day. I didn’t expect to cry for seven to eight hours in a row. With everyone, with all players, with technical staff, medical staff, chefs in the kitchen.

“The path that is now moving Ajax would also fit my career perfectly, with the football football football next season and the great expectations of the championship.

“I wanted to solve these goals, but I also have to be honest with myself. I believe that some steps should be taken very quickly. We differ in opinion about it and I didn’t feel that these differences could be bridged.”
