The International Center for Cricket (ICC) on Thursday, May 15, announced a huge prize money for the ICC World Test Championship finals 2025 (WTC Final 2025) between South Africa and Australia.
There are less than a month before the big test match in Lord’s, ICC discovered a record total prize money of $ 5,76 million for the WTC Final 2025, which is more than twice as far as it has been offered in the last two editions of the prestigious game.

ICC has confirmed that the WTC Final 2025 winner will bring home a huge $ 3.6 million, which is only $ 1.6 million in $ 2021 and 2023 compared to only $ 1.6 million, while the winner will receive $ 2.16 million, which is almost three times more than a previous amount of $ 800,000.
Talking about the announcement, the president of the ICC Jay Shah said the third cycle of the World Cup in the test was exciting, and the finalists were just confirmed by the end. He praised the extraordinary performances of the players in the teams.
Jay Shah said in an official statement: “We were witnessing a very interesting third cycle of the ICC World Cup, where the finalists were decided only until the end of the competition. ICC Chairman is convinced that fans in Lord’s and around the world will watch the top crisis in the WTC final, expanding their best wishes to both Australian and South African teams.
Shah signed himself, saying, “I’m sure spectators in Lord’s, together with fans adapting from all over the world, will be treated with some top crowning in this valued format when Australia and South Africa go to the field for less than a month. On behalf of ICC, I spread the best wishes for both teams in their preparatory players.”
In the meantime, ICC has launched an exciting promotional video to indicate a 30-day counting to the final test. The video contains captain of South Africa Tembo Bavuma, Fast Bowler Kagiso Rabada and Star Batter Aiden Markkram. Steve Smith and Travis Head were seen from Australia.
The video also included former Legends for Crket Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn, Matthew Hayden, Mel Jones, Nasser Hussain, Shoaib Akhtar and Ravi Shastra, who described in the video by test cricket to add hip and excitement at the WTC Final at Lord’s.
