Paris Saint-Germain chief Luis Enrique rejected the claim of Mikel Artete that Arsenal “100 percent” is the best team in two legs of their Champions League semi-finals.
Gunners played well last night at Parc des princess, but PSG beat them 2-1, which made the aggregate to the final conflict with Inter Milan 3-1.
Gianluigi Donnarumma goalkeeper made several important savings in the tie, but a larger attacking threat of Ligue 1 carried them.
After that, Arthtea claimed to TNT Sports: “First of all, (I want) to congratulate PSG to the finals. The estimate I will make when I am a little colder, but the feedback I immediately received from their benches were much better than them.
“When you look at the two games that were their best player on the field? That was their goalkeeper.
“He made a difference to them in a tie. And I think we were close. Much closer than shows the result. But unfortunately we are outside.
“I am very proud of the players. What we did today, the way we started, how we acted with pressure. After 20 minutes, it should be 3-0. But in the competition, something you need to go on the road, which is not (for us).”
“I don’t agree at all.” 🗣

Luis Enrique built an extremely entertaining side, lowered superstar in previous years, but possessed guilt in the middle of the terrain and a glittering pace in the attack.
And while the former Barcelona chief respects Arsenal, he did not agree with Artet’s estimate.
He said, “Mikel Arthta is a great friend, but I disagree at all.
“They played in a smart way and they got the game for them at the right time because they played the way they wanted and the way they love. But in two legs we achieved more than them and that is the most important thing in football.
“Arsenal played a great game, and we suffered, but we deserved to reach the finals. They are a great team, but I repeat, we scored more goals, we played in a great way in the first part, and the other half of the second leg was a different game, and we could score even more goals.”
Arsenal ended up as runners in the last two seasons of the Premier League and are currently sitting again in second place.
And midfielder Declan Rice, a quarterfinal victory hero over Real Madrid, says that sometimes disappointment comes before jubilee.
He said, “We are all desperate for that (the trophy). That is why we play football, we want to win trophies, we want to be at its peak, win things. For whatever reason, it shouldn’t be.
“We were really close and not good enough. Arsenal deserves to be advocating for trophies and I win in things, but we can’t work much more. Much superstar suffered defeat to go out.
“It hurts, you see boys, a manager. We wanted to be in Munich, but that doesn’t define us and we’ll get back.”
