Howe pleased with a point after a penalty kick

Eddie Howe admitted that it was good afternoon for Newcastle in Brighton after the late sentence of Alexander Isak saved 1-1.

The Magpies had two earlier appeals to the shot of Var rejected after an offense at Anthony Gordon, who was outside the area, and the other after a shocking dive from Joe Willocka-Ali Judge Craig Pawson was proven right when he pointed out the place for the third time after Yasin Ayari engaged.

Izak stepped up the remaining minute and made it home to cancel the opener of the former Newcastle winged player Yankub Minteha.

Brighton was supposed to have his own punishment when Sandro Tonali threw out Matt O’reilly, but visitors rode happiness and asked for a valuable point in their offer to ask the Champions League location.

Howe pleased with the draw

Howe told Sky Sports: “It’s probably a good point for us, even though we came here to win. Our final passage and cross were probably not at the finest level.

“We were very disappointed as we admitted. We made enough to justify the point, if not more. I thought we were trying to win the game. Brighton was a difficult stop team. We persecuted the game with intelligence and eventually got a prize.”

Diego Gomez and Callum Wilson had a great chance of winning it for their part in the time of injury, but they were divided by the prey.

“We went for what I think we have to do in our position and I am proud of how we fought in the game,” Howe added, whose side must play Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal in the last three games.

“It’s all to play. We have three huge games, three very difficult games in different ways. Two are at home and hopefully make it a difference.”

Hurzeler nervous because of SLOPPY Brighton

Brighton’s chief Fabian Hurzeler was not happy on his part, and the draw made little for hopes in the Selbi to qualify for Europe.

He said, “I have a mixture of feelings. I am proud of holding myself together, but it was not our perfect match in possession. All in all, there is a mixture of feelings, but we try to deprive positive results.

“We confessed to a cheap punishment. We have to accept it and try to get out best. I saw a good team performance even though we made some light mistakes and we couldn’t control the game the way we wanted.”
