Punchestown: Lulamba strikes at Ballymore Champion a four -year obstacle for Nicky Henderson | Racing news

Lulamba turned the tables at his Cheltenham Poniros festival winner to land champion Ballymore’s four -year obstacles in Punchestown.

So impressive at his British debut in Ascot, Lulamba Nicky Henderson seemed to have followed in a triumphant obstacle after reaching better than a long -lasting battle with Eastern India. But both late was captured by Willie Mullins, who trained 100-1 shot by humoros, who made his debut debut.

Lulamba was a favorite of 11-10 to take revenge on Irish soil and give Henderson and Joker James Bowen a welcome impetus after disappointing running in the constitutional Hill in the Boodles champion just over 24 hours earlier – and eventually did so in a good style.

Always close to Tempa, Lulamba took the humilia to the home of Ravno and ended strongly from the last flight to win the removal for four lengths, and Hello Copseo is third close.

Lullamba gave the owners of Joe and Marie Donnelly her second winner in the second grade week after the national man’s victory over the Constitutional Hill on Friday.

Henderson said, “These are big days, it was a big week and a great week for the Donnelly family. Two winners like that are quite special.

“We tried to hinder her yesterday, it was a bitter pill, but she did them well. Now we did it together.”

He added, “This is a fantastic place, we love him. This is a real horse for the second day. He deserves as much as everyone.

“I wouldn’t say he wasn’t happy not to win Cheltenham, he couldn’t do anything about it at the time and we got a little revenge there.

“He is a beautiful horse for the future, you would not be surprised that he does not return over the fence next year. I do not know, these are early days and that is only the fourth race of his life.

“He is a great child for minor obstacles against flat horses, so he is honestly credited with.”

Henderson, Henderson, said, “It’s good. It’s a little painful, but it’s good.

“He has a long summer in front of him, he’ll come back.”
