Unai Emery was full of praise for the “fantastic” Youra Tielemance after the midfielder scored the only goal of the Aston Villa game won Fulham to step up his hopes in the top-five end in the Premier League.
The Belgian midfielder, who started every league for Emery’s side this season, went home to John McGinna in 12 minutes for what proved to be a winner at Villa Park on Saturday.
Villa, which now has 20 games undefeated at home, missed a lot of chances in the second half, but stayed to secure a win that moves them at a level at Chelsea and Nottingham Forestm and retains its ambition of consecutive seasons in the Champions League firmly live.

Tielemans is a key part of Emery’s engine room this season, and the head of the villa was full of praise to the midfielder.
“He really works fantastic. It’s very, very professional,” Emery said.
“The mentality he has, I really appreciate at the highest level we can achieve”
Assessing the possibility of consecutive seasons in the European elite club competition, Emery, who led the villa to the place in the last eight this season, reduced the club’s chances.
“We are not favorites, and we are still not,” Emery said.
“Of course, we are close to Europe today in Europe. Our dream is to try to win the Champions League and after winning today we can have a chance.
“It was very, very important to win and feel confident at home, feeling strong.”
Villa is next in action when they travel to Bournemouth next Saturday, as the first five race seems to go down to the wire.
