Players can be hard to buy. Even if you know what kind of games they like to play, there is no guarantee that they will like a specific theme. But I have no regrets in accepting it Astro Bot for everyone on your list who has a PS5.
I don’t have enough time to play games, so I’m careful about who I choose (I mostly just play Engadget reviews) so when Jess called. Astro Bot “one of the best games Sony has ever made” I thought it was a safe bet. That was an understatement on my part. It’s fun: Creative but cool, cute but not cute. You play as Astro who is responsible for finding his bot friends on different fun planets. Some of those friends are dressed as characters from other video games. Oddities aren’t just fun for gamers: in my house, they’ve also led to conversations about gaming history. For example, my husband and my son looked up Here after seeing bots dressed as two game characters.
The monitor itself plays a big role, both on the screen and in the ways you use it. The game is challenging, but so easy to pick up that my seven-year-old son is deeply into it. Honestly, that’s my only complaint. Among all the other people in my house who want to play, I never get the chance.
