Newcastle is expected to spend a big one this summer, and one of the positions they plan to solve for is the central defense. They missed Marca Guehi in 2024, and now 12 months, they seem to be watching outside the Premier League in their efforts to upgrade what they already have.
Newcastle hopes to ensure the qualification for the Champions League for the second time in three seasons, and if they do, he would open up more options to improve his composition during the summer broadcast. And one of them could come from Bayern Munich.
Speaking Football insiderFormer scout Mick Brown confirmed that one of the players watching this summer is a Bayern Defender Kim Min-Jae portable window.
“Newcastle wants to foster from the position they have been in lately, they have finally succeeded, they finally won the trophy and looked like they would enter the Champions League. But Eddie Howe still feels that they need to strengthen their rear possibilities.
“Sven Botman was not happy with the injuries, Dan Burn was fantastic, but he was not a European -level defender, and Fabian Schar does not become younger. So this is the Newcastle area that she could improve and want to do it this summer.
“Kim Min-Jae is the name I recently heard about Newcastle, and he would be a good option. Man United wanted him before moving to Bayern, and he did well there, but I heard a whisper that he could be available now.
“He would bring a lot of experience with knowledge and elite level to this Newcastle side, which is always a huge advantage for any team. In addition, he is a solid defender and I think he would be interested in moving to the Premier League, so I think he will be one of which he will look across the line.”
It is said that Chelsea is also interested in Signing Kim this summer, so this could be an interesting race between the two sides of the Premier League that persecute the Champions League qualifications.
