El Grande Americano debut earlier today and beat Rey Fenix, who also fought for the first time on the oldest stage of all of them.
The match was a solid encounter between two men who obviously knew their journey around the ring, until El Grande decided to cheat on picking up the victory. He added a metal plate to the mask and went to his head, but Fenix managed to hit him and then injured his foot.
Fenix struggled with his right foot in the ring before El Grande Americano grabbed him and started working on the left. He locked himself in locking the ankle, which was seemingly needed to be on the leg he had just injured, on the wrong leg, which is an unpleasant mistake for someone like Chad Gable, a veteran in the ring and a former Olympian.
Of course, he gave up moves after a while when he realized his mistake and finished winning a match with a diving head with a metal plate still in place.
This seems to be an integral part of his character now because he earned it a few WWE wins.
