Promotor Eddie Hearn says he will meet with Golden Boy during the Week Times Square to negotiate a fight between Shakur Stevenson and William Zeped. Hearn says it’s “Right Fighting” For Shakur (23-0, 11 ko), and that WBC ordered for him to defend his light title.
Shakur will have to be willing to hand over a portion of his purse to make Zeped (33-0, 27 ko) to fight. This may not be a significant increase in the salary for him since the last two fights against Tev’s farmer. Why would you like to challenge Shakura if it won’t be more money than what he got?
The difficult situation is for Stevenson and Hearn because they need Zeped more than they need. He is probably more popular and has the following because of his exciting style of fighting. The only thing Shakur goes for him is his WBC light title, which means nothing.
“Obviously there was a figure suggested to fight Zeped in Saudi Arabia, but that fight takes place in America,” Promotor Eddie Hearn said in Tension About Shakur Stevenson against William Zeped, he struggles with the proposal. This fight was ordered by WBC.
It will be difficult to achieve the fight of Zeped now that the Saudis do not offer money that Shakur hoped to get earlier. He claims that the money does not matter and that it will take less.
Stevenson (23-0, 11 ko) believes he will win Zeped the key to fighting Gervont Davis. It sounds pharcarian. If Stevenson wins Zeped, the chances will look bad running, and that will ruin his plans.
“There will be offers for a purse. We’ll sit with friends in Golden Boy in Fatal Fury at Timse Square Week,” Hearn said. “I think it’s a fantastic struggle. We want to make an agreement. I think it’s probably one of the most fantastic fights in the division.
“It’s a real fight for Shakur, and more importantly, he was ordered by WBC. So it is the struggle we will take the following, and hopefully we can reach an agreement with Golden Boy,” Hearn at Stevenson Vs. Zeped Clash.
