Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo says cherries deserve a hit in European football after his goal in the first minute was good enough for See off Fulham.
Cherries are on their way to their best season in the Premier League and are in eighth place-just seven points with the top five and six behind the Aston villa in the seventh.
Considering that the first five first five guaranteed the Champions League location next year, the eighth could be sufficient for the conference qualification site, as long as the Newcastle Cup Champions and the winners of the FA Cup end in the top seven.
Semenyo said, “We have grown all over the season and beat the first six teams. This small phase we go through, we lose and draw, every team goes through it, but this is why this victory is so important.
“I feel like we did this year, we definitely deserve European places.”
“That can’t happen … You can’t defend yourself like that. It’s impossible.” ❌

Manager Andoni Iraila was impressed with his side because they won home for the first time since January.
Evalilson was supposed to add Semeny’s early strike, but the hosts had to dig up and defend themselves, while Fulham’s boss was the second half.
Irara told Sky Sports: “I am very, very pleased with the performance. I think we need this performance, well defending our own frame, pins, blocks, basics, set games.
“To finish the clean leaves is so valuable because usually when we create a chance to score goals, it is a defensive place where we missed something in the recent games and we were very good today.

“We knew that Fulham was very good at the ball. The first 55-60 minutes we pressed very well, but then you will always suffer in the end. We had to approach the territory a little, go more compact and defend the box and handle the crosses.
“This victory comes at the perfect moment for us. Next week we have another of these games against Crystal Palace, just like Fulham, play very well, so we recover well and get to a good place.
“The data has been really close in the last few months, so each result will be crucial.”
