A PA woman accused of trying to register dead people, including her own father, to vote

A A Pennsylvania woman was arrested on felony forgery, tampering with public records and related voter registration charges based on allegations that he attempted to fraudulently register dead people, including his own father, to vote in the 2024 election.

Chester-area Jennifer Hill was arrested Thursday and charged with trying to add four ineligible people to voter rolls, including her late father.

Delaware County Democratic District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said in public statements that Hill used an app to register 324 people as an employee of a group called the New Pennsylvania Project.

Stollsteimer said the Pennsylvania Department of State makes the app available to legal voter registration units. He said Hill successfully registered 181 people, but another 129 names – which he called a “large number” – were unsuccessful.

“Literally, what this woman did was crunch the numbers for her job. She started registering dead people. One of them was her father.”

Hill allegedly tried to register a second dead person, who Stollsteimer said Hill knew was dead because she died in 2011 at the home where she currently lives.

“She knows because she was the person who called the police to come when he died at her home.”

“She registered a fraudulent person,” Stollsteimer said, adding that the particular registrant did not vote this year. The fake person’s identity was a combination of her grandmother’s name and a different birthday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

In addition, prosecutors accused an 84-year-old man named Philip Moss of voting both in Florida and by mail. in Delaware County.

In a statement obtained by Fox News Digital, a New Pennsylvania Project executive called the allegations “heartbreaking” and said the group does not offer financial incentives or bonuses for additional voter registrations.

“Our employees have no quota to meet and the hourly wages paid to part-time application employees remain the same regardless of the number of voter registration applications collected,” said Kadida Kenner.

Kenner added that the Pennsylvania Department of State notified the group about possible problems with a collector and that the person, believed to be Hill, was immediately suspended.

“Due to the hard work of many people to prevent harmful actions by bad actors, our voting lists and elections are secure and no fraudulent votes have been cast,” he said.

“As a nonpartisan organization, our year-round voter registration efforts are not directed, coordinated, or aligned with any political party or candidate. Our registration efforts are not and will never be dictated by an election cycle,” Kenner continued.

Of the nearly 10,000 applicants successfully solicited by the group, 48% registered as Democrats, 34% as unaffiliated or third-party, and 18% as Republicans.

Hill reportedly faces up to 10 charges for each of the four records that led to the indictment by Media prosecutors.
