Mikel Arteta has no intention of bringing his Arsenal players back to Earth. Instead, he hopes to use an adrenaline that created a win in the middle of the week over Real Madrid when Brentford visits Emirates tomorrow.
Arsenal knocked European champions 3-0 on Tuesday night To request the command lead in their Champions League, the quarterfinals before returning to Spain next week.
Instead of trying to hold his players on Earth, Arthta hopes to keep the momentum when they face the bees of the middle table.

He said, “It’s not about bringing them back, but keeping that energy and that momentum and we use it to Brentford and a very difficult game that we will face with the team that when you look at what they did, it’s simply amazing, it’s an extraordinary, it’s a wonderful story.
“And they earned it in the way they do, in the way they are organized, in the way they believe, in the way they play. So, great credit for them, and it will be a really difficult test for us.
“It was a very special night (against Madrid). It’s over, and now there are football videos on Brentford, because, again, it will need the best of us.”
The hero with two goals by Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka went against Madrid, but Arthte revealed that they were in shape and available for the weekend, although he refused to find out if he would rest players ahead of the game in the Santiago Bernabeu.
“I mean, this is our context, play every three days and play in different competitions, the biggest stages playing in Europe, and then they return to the Premier League and have a completely different game, completely different opposition and context about the game,” he added.
“You want to become a team that can win any of them. You have to do it every three days, no matter what the scenario is.”
Arsenal enters the weekend of 11 points behind the Liverpool Laters with only seven games remaining and realistically knowing that they have to win everyone in order to have any chance of catching Merseysiders.
But Arthte is careful about the threat represented by Brentford and has acknowledged his respect for tomorrow’s colleague Thomas Frank.
He said, “Much more than respect, really, it’s admiration. I think he did it with a football club that everyone shares a vision, a very clear identity, a club, a team from which we can learn a lot because in my opinion it is very, very smart.
“And then the way he endured and evolved, as well as the model, really good, in my opinion. So look at the results they also had from home in the last six matches. So, we know what will be necessary for us to win them.”
