Tottenham strengthened his leadership team, hiring Vinai Venkatesham as the next club director.
Former Arsenal CEO will officially start his role this summer, bringing with him for more than a decade of superior experience from the front office of Gunners.
Venkatesham, 44, was crucial in Arsenal’s growth and development outside the field during his term and will now take responsibility for Tottenham’s overall operations-and sports and commercial.
“I’m excited to join Tottenham Hotspur this summer,” Venkatesham said in the official place of the club. “After it took a while to fill up and evaluate its capabilities, I believe this is an exceptional opportunity to work with Daniel, the Committee and all the staff, to take the club forward.”
It is uncommon for the managers to move between the heavy weights of the Premier League, especially between the fierce rivals. Venkatesham is now joining the selected group of football executives, including Peter Kenyon and Omar Berrad, who played the lead roles in more than one top club.
While in Arsenal, he built strong connections with external stakeholders such as the Premier League and the European Club Association (ECA), it is expected that relations that are expected to continue to influence the Spurs.
We are delighted to announce that Vinai Venkatesham will join the Club Committee as executive director (CEO) in the summer.

Venkatesham began his time in Arsenal in 2010 as head of a global partnership and constantly climbing the ranks. Until 2018, he was appointed General Director, along with Raul Sanllehi, who monitored football operations.
After the departure of Sanllehi in 2020, Venkatesham entered the role of executive director and took over complete leadership.
During his stay at Emirates, he played a central role in big meetings, including Ed, Mikel Arteta and Richard Garlick.
He left Arsenal at the end of the 2023–24 season, holding six different roles over 14 years.
Repeating Venkatesham could mean wider transformation of Tottenham’s leadership. Chairman Daniel Levy has been at the helm since 2001, but key positions below him have seen a lot of traffic in recent years.
