Liverpool star Mohamed Salah officially extended his stay at Anfield, placing a pen on paper on a new two -year contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The previous 32-year-old contract was supposed to expire at the end of the current season, and uncertainty surrounded his future after the comment on the season and the constant speculation about the potential transfer to the Saudi Pro League.
Despite the rumors, Salah decided to stay with the Reds, where he had already built a legendary status and won the Premier League title in this term.
Ever since he arrived from AS of Roma in 2017, the Egyptian international has scored 393 appearances for Liverpool, winning 243 goals and 109 assists.
“Of course I’m very excited – now we have a great team,” Salah said after the announcement.
“Before we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have the opportunity to win other trophies and enjoy our football.

“I’ve been playing here for eight years, I hope it will be 10 years. I enjoy my life here, enjoying my football. I have had the best years of my career here.”
Salah’s form this season was crucial in Liverpool’s title challenge. He found the back of the net 32 times in all competitions, including 27 goals in the Premier League, as the team lags for their record 20.
Liverpool currently hold a lead of 11 points over runner -up arsenal, with only seven matches left.
During his stay with Merseyside Club, Salah won almost every major trophy that was available, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and World Cup at the club.
The Egyptian star is among the trio of high -profile players whose contracts were supposed to run out of summer. The other two are Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk and England Full of Beka Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Van Dijk recently revealed that discussions about the reconstruction are moving in the right direction, while Alexander-Arnold is still the subject of interest from Real Madrid, and rumors about a possible summer move day by day are more and more likely.
