“They don’t have an idea!”

Barcelona’s midfielder Gavi hit his critics ahead of the match against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Twenty -year -old is often stereotypated as a physical player, not as a skilled, but the sponge has finally had his opinion on his doubt.

At a press conference before the match, he said, “Many people think I don’t know how to play football. They don’t have an idea. That’s true, but I understand it, it’s football. Everyone thinks what they want to think, so it’s okay.”

The young Blugran star missed the early part of the season due to a serious ACL injury suffered at the end of 2023. Since returning in November, Gavi has scored 29 appearances and scored three goals, gradually working back into form.

Under the manager of Hansi Flick, the gavi is arranged in various roles in the middle. Although he admits he has not yet returned to himself, the midfielder admits that he is grateful for the trust and guidelines of a German coach.

“Flick is a great understanding,” Gavi added. “He realizes that I’m coming back from a long release of injury. It’s not easy after a year, but he showed a lot of faith in me. I’m really happy to have him as a coach.

“I am playing me in many positions and it can improve my game, both at the basic level and in the attack. I will become more complete as a player, which can only be a good thing.

“A lot of performances have come as number 10, but he knows I can play both in a double turn or as number 6. I improve myself every day, and even better for me to fill those different roles.

“The truth is that I don’t have as an important role as in other seasons, but it’s normal after I got back from a long injury. I am very pleased with the recovery I have done and if you told me I would have this season when I would get back from the injury, I would take it.”

Barca faced Dortmund in the first part of their quarterfinals of their Champions League on Wednesday, and Catalan was still watching high Tokyo under Flick’s leadership-were secured by Copa del Rey finals against Real Madrid and currently at the top of Laliga for four points for four points

But Gavi tries to take things one game at a time and refused to take away when it comes to his season.

Gavi added: “We have a spectacular season, but we don’t feel invincible. You can’t always win football. We have to be humble in every game, remember where we come from and keep our feet on the ground. There are still many games.
