Coach Stephen Edwards says that Edgar Berlanga will not fight the Caleb plant because he is in a position in which he can choose and choose who he wants to fight with. He wants Jaimea Munguia because he will stand right in front of him, and is damaged by a bad knockout he suffered in his last fight against Bruno Surace.

Edwards says Berlanga (23-1, 18 ko) will not want to fight the plant (23-2, 14 ko) because he would hry it and use feints, and he is a bad style for him.
He believes that the big salary of $ 10 million Berlang has put in the fight against Canel Alvarez in a position in which she can choose and choose who he wants to fight with. Berlanga is not trying to take over any high -level candidate at 168. He wants Munguia, who lost two of his last three fights, and Jermall Charlo.
35-year-old Jermall is Ancient relic from the distant past When the dinosaurs wandered the ground before the asteroid of 9 miles was deleted by an asteroid. He has only fought once in the last four years. Charl’s way of life outside the ring is well known to fans, and that helps Berlangi because it would get another type that is less than 100%. Edgar’s last opponent, Jonathan Gonzalez-portIt looked like the body was double for Tyson Fury, obese, and it was surprising that Dazn agreed that he would fight on one of his tickets.
“Edgar Berlanga is in a privileged position in which he can choose certain types of guys to fight. You see him weighing according to Jaime Munguia. Do you know why? He’s just knocking out,” Coach Stephen Edwards said in BOKS MILLCITY About Edgar Berlangi with the aim of fighting Jaime Munguia, not the Caleb plant.
The reason Berlang is “privileged” is that he has a large base of fans in New York with Portorians who identify with him. Edgar is not from the island, but he plays at an angle and carries their flag for his struggles. He likes to be an American, but he sees himself as a Puerto Rican.
“He (Munguia) comes right on you and probably could damage him from that knockout (against Bruno Surace on December 14). It was a bad knockout. He (Berlanga) would rather fight him than a guy (herb) who will move, fein and not plant, but not plants.
Berlanga wants Munguia for three reasons:
“Sometimes, when the guys get the payment of certain money, they become (selective). Caleb is a bad style for him,” Edwards said. “He would rather fight guys like Munguia who is in front of him.”
Berlang is what is considered spoiled fighter. Last September he received a big $ 10 million against Canel Alvarez, and now he wants a similar money every time he struggles, although he doesn’t deserve it. Berlang does not want to return to receiving the type of handbag he got when he fought against Padraig McCrory, Jason Quigley and Roamer Alexis Angulo.
Terence Crawford is another example. After receiving a big salary against Errol Spence, he waited all year long until he was offered a real job against Israil Madrid. He didn’t just want to fight one of the competitors with 147 and reduce giant salaries. Now he does this again by sitting out of the ring for a year to wait until he gets a big salary against Canel. Once these guys have a taste of huge dough, they no longer compete as before. They just seek certain fights with a big salary.
You will not see them struggling with regular candidates because there are no money and they could lose. You can’t put Berlang with top -notch medium -sized weights like Plant, Christian Mbilli, Diego Pachech or Osleys Iglesias as it would beat it again. His career will be over if he moves to 175, where he should fight. There are no big salaries for him or light grades like Munguia. There are only killers like David Benavidez, David Morrela, Dmitry Bivol and Arthur Beterbiev who will send him down for defeat.
“He never won the world title,” Edwards of Berlanga said. “That guy got $ 9 million ($ 10 million to fight Canel Alvarez). It’s a lot of money. It’s a lot more money than fighters better than Edgar Berlanga earned in one night.”
The shame of Canel that he first decided to fight Berlanga because he knew he did not deserve a recording of the world title. His two best victories were against Jason Quigley and Padraig McCrory. These are smaller guys. Canelo was supposed to give the title of Pacheco, Mbilli or Iglesias title, but we know why he didn’t choose them. They are solid fighters.
“Edgar Berlanga got a lot of money to fight Canel and lost every circle,” Stephen said. “I thought he was fighting well, but he lost at least 10 or 11 rounds and never won the world title. He got eight, nine or $ 11 million. It’s a lot of money for a world title challenger. So it’s hard to make the guy fight Canelo plants where he will be insufficient.
“It’s easy to lose Canelo because he’s a legend. He’s a guy with a higher rating. If he loses Caleb after he said so many things about him, it will be (hard). If Edgar loses Caleb, his career is probably over because no one wants to beat from a white boy. That’s a problem.
Berlang focuses on money. This is the real reason why he is more interested in fighting Jaime Munguia, Canela and Jermall Charla, not plants. He can make more money by fighting these guys than they can plant because fans will buy events at PPV.
Munguia would have a lot of Mexican Americans looking for a fight that also participated in Berlang. It doesn’t matter that Munguia is a marginal fighter who have carefully maneuvered the promoters throughout his career.
Mexican fans would still like to see him fighting Berlan because he would see it as a good fight. Berlang’s fans on the eastern coast would like to see that match, and they wouldn’t care that he never beat a good career fighter. They don’t care and do not understand that his resume is filled with passengers.
