Nuno Espirito Santo hopes that his side nottingham forest can take another important step in what was a wonderful season when they visit Brighton tomorrow in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Forest was expected to fight this season, but instead, Nuno is sitting in third place in the Premier League and on the way to qualify for the Champions League.
Their next focus is progressing to their first semi -finals of the FA Cup since 1991.
Nuno said: “As a group and as a club we were able to change many things. We split records that stood for 30, 40 years.
“Suddenly we have another opportunity to break another; that’s how we think.
“We are thinking about how we can play, how we can compete with a very good side in Brighton. We think about it.
“Of course everyone should enjoy it, but our job is to play the game, focus, compete; I repeat this word because it means a lot. We have to compete for every ball in every minute.
“This game is new, so we wonder how well we can prepare for what will be a huge game? We want to go as much as possible in the FA Cup; we love this competition and our fans love it.”

The last time the teams met last month with The forest ran 7-0 winners on the city ground.
It was a glowing day for the seagulls, and Chief Fabian Hurzeler did not want to re -examine him at his press conference before the match.
German said, “I will not discuss this. The players have taken a lot of ownership and a lot of responsibility, and they said we must return to the things that made us strong and things that make us strongly work together, showing the intensity and that belief that we can beat every team in the league.”
Brighton responded well to that failure, winning four and pulling out one of his next five league matches.
They have also progressed until the last eight FA Cups thanks to victories over Chelsea and Newcastle.
He will hope that his second FA Cup finals will be reached in three years.
Forest is without top scorer Chris Wood, who scored a hat-trick in a 7-0 victory after sustaining a hip injury in international duty in New Zealand.
Brighton were Lewis Dunk and Matt O’Riley available, while Hurzeler was convinced that Joao Pedro and Kaora Mitoma were returning intact from the remains with their national teams.

Brighton: Verbrugggen; Hinshelwood, Dunk, Van Hecke, Estupinan; Baleba, Gomez, Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma, Welbeck
Nottingham Forest: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Dominguez, Anderson, Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Awoniyi
Brighton V Nottingham Forest begins on Saturday at 5:15 pm and can be viewed at BBC1.
It can flow on BBC iPlayer and BBC website.
Hard to call, but Brighton will add motivation after the event last month.
This is combined with the absence of wood, it can only specify the scale in their favor.
We imagine seagulls to transfer it, but don’t be surprised if it requires extra time, and maybe even penalties to separate sides.
Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Nottingham Forest
