Arsenal Stun Real Madrid to get to the semifinals

Three goals in 13 minutes of the second half were enough for women to abolish the first leg deficit in two goals against Real Madrid and progress to the Champions League semi -finals.

Alessia Russo scored any side of Marion Caldentey’s goal in a 3-0 victory to set up an equalizer against eight-time Lyon winners in the last four.

Russo had two goals excluded due to an offside on an unforgettable night for artillery at Emirates, testifying to 22,517 supporters, a record crowd for the English team in the quarter-finals of the women’s Champions League.

Real gave the advantage last week in Madrid’s kindness to Linde Caicedo and Athena del Castillo’s goals, and on Wednesday they wanted to protect that leadership in northern London.

But Renee Slegers proved more than worthy of victory with a terrible, insightful performance in front of her home fans who caused cheerful celebrations in a full -time whistle.

After the first half without a goal, the hosts took over the lead almost immediately after the re-launch, while the cross with Pin-Point from Chloe Kelly found Russo who knocked home.

The second goal scored only three minutes later, when Caldentey welcomed another delivery from an impressive Kelly, the Spaniard directed his head of Rodriguez in the real goal.

And the return was completed before Steph Catley headed to the freekick Katie McCabe back goal, where Russo waited to bounce on the ball.

From there, Russo scored two goals, but in the end, the three goals were shown enough to see Arsenal, who is currently Trail Chelsea for eight points in the WSL title race, to the semifinals of the competition that could be their only goal in silver this season.

Arsenal’s men’s team will hope to imitate that feat when a Los Blancos in the Champions League is happy in April in April.
