IPL 2025: Tim Seifert, James Neesham help the new Zealand Threash Pakistan in 5. T20I

New Zealand Limited their dominant victory of the T20I series with a thunderous victory of 8 Vitla Pakistan In the fifth and last match at the Sky Stadium, Wellington on Wednesday, March 26.

Deciding for Bowl first after winning the throw, the hosts put a stellar comprehensive performance, limiting Pakistan to below 128/9, before being persecuted in just 10 passes, thanks to the explosive knocking out of Tim Seifert (97 does not turn off 38 balls).

Pakistan’s baton battle

The Pakistani striking line once again failed, not managing to present a competitive total number. Mohammad Haris (11 off 17) and Hasan Nawaz (0 off 3) fell cheaply, setting a slow start tone. Omair Yousuf (7 off 11) and USman Khan (7 off 7) failed to provide stability, while AGHA Salman (51 off 39, 6, 1 six) was the only dough he fought. He played a bold blow under pressure, but he lacked support from the other end.

Shadab Khan (28 off 20, 5 four) added some valuable rides in the middle standings, but Wikets continued to beat. Abdul Samad (4 off 9), riding khan (1 off 2), Haris Rauf (6 off 10), Sufiyan Muqeem (0 off 2) and Mohammad Ali (0 off 0) failed to make significant contributions as Pakistan ended up on 128/9 in 20 additions.

The bowlers in New Zealand performed an exceptional appearance, led by James Neesham, who registered his best T20i figures, taking 5 shots for 22 rides in 4 additions. Jacob Duffy (2/18) and Ish Sodhi (1/32) supported him well, while Ben Sears (1/25) also inserted it. William O’Rourke was the only bowler who was without any blows, but accepted the discipline, receiving 29 running in his 4 transmission.

The Saiferta team has sealed the game for black caps

Chasing 129, the openers of New Zealand are all burning rifles. Seifert led a charge with an electrifying 97 of 38 balls, hitting 6 square and 10 six. He separated Pakistani bowlers, leaving no room to return. Finn Allen (27 off 12, 5 Fours, 1 Six) played the perfect supporting role before being released.

Mark Chapman (3 off 7) and Daryl Mitchell (2 off 4) finished the job as New Zealand has comfortably reached 131/2 in only 10 addings.

Pakistani bowlers did not have a response to Seifert’s attack. Jandad Khan (0/43 in 2 Turns), Mohammad Ali (0/27 in 2 Additions), Haris Rauf (0/22 in 2 Additions) and Shadab Khan (0/33 in 2 Turns) were expensive and ineffective. Sufiyan Muqeem (2/6 in 2 additions) was the only bowler who picked up Wikets, but his efforts went in vain.
