Tottenham are hoping for a third straight win in all competitions when they host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

The final Premier League game before Christmas comes after Spurs won 5-0 at Southampton a week earlier and won 4-3 at home to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Thursday.

Liverpool beat the Saints 2-1 away in the competition a day earlier to arrive at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on a 20-match unbeaten run.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has named an unchanged line-up, although that has a lot to do with 10 players missing due to injury and illness.

Dominic Solanke scored twice in a thrilling win over United, while Dejan Kulusevski also struck and Son Heung-min made it 4-2 after 88 minutes.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot made seven changes after the win over Southampton, bringing back his rested first-team players.

This means that players such as goalkeeper Alisson, defender Virgil van Dijk and forwards Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah are back in the lineup.
