Bruno Fernandes says Roy Keane ‘has my respect’

Bruno Fernandes says he respects the legend of Manchester United Roy Keane after a recent criticism of Captain Cuurent.

Fernandes scored a hat-trick Against Real Sociedad, as United has booked a place in the last eight Europa League.

But Keane – who won 12 major honors in United – called into question Fernandes’ qualities Recently, saying that he is not a “fighter” and that “talent is not enough.”

“I can’t change the opinion of people. Like all I have to do is go to the field and try to do the best I can for the club.

“Roy Keane was an amazing club captain, one of the best as everyone says. I didn’t have the opportunity to see a lot from him, only the last few years, but he was a great player who won everything for the club.

“He is massively respectful of all and has all my respect. He has to give his opinion in the program and that is what he thinks about me.

“What I do on the field to try to change my mind or try to do something that is probably considered a good thing. Obviously I do it in my own way, I don’t want to copy anyone.

“I try to be the best captain who can do my teammates for my teammates, I try to help everyone the best way I can and the best way I know.

“I have to improve, not only as a captain, but also as a player, as a person, as a human being – and that’s fine.

“Criticism will always be a part of (games) and it will make me grow and realize it is a long way.”
