Meredith was the best player for the Hobart Hurricanes in the first innings. The right-arm fast bowler’s exceptional spell of 3 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs played a key role in keeping the Scorchers batting in check. After the early wicket of Allen, Meredith dismissed two more key players from Perth. First, he got rid of it Cooper Connollywho was caught behind by McDermott and then dismissed Captain Perth, Ashton Turnerin a key breakthrough. Meredith’s accuracy and ability to strike at crucial times ensured that the Scorchers could not build meaningful partnerships. His incredible performance didn’t stop there, Meredith also showed brilliant midfield play, taking a direct shot to dislodge the goalkeeper’s attacker Josh Inglisfurther strengthening Hobart’s grip on the game.
