“A lot of clubs fight for this target,” is reflected in Guardiola, adding that “will not be the end of the world” if the city fails to reach Champions League For the first time since 2010/11.

“Everyone wants to be in the Champions League next season, for a number of reasons. If that doesn’t happen, it will be because we weren’t good enough and other teams deserve it.

“In the Premier League, in 38 nodes, it’s fair enough. We are in a position that is not ideal but not bad enough. It’s in our hands and we will fight for it.”

Although the best four endings in the Premier League would guarantee a place in the Champions League next season, it seems that an additional place will be awarded a team that finished fifth because of the coefficient points of England, which are awarded based on the way teams from each country perform in European competitions.

One player who will not be able to help City for qualifying is the defender Nathan Ake, who is expecting to go out between 10 and 11 weeks after the left leg surgery held during the city Fa Cup fifth round at the second level of Plymouth Argyle last Saturday.

Spaniard had high praise for a player who was related to the city this season, he called Forest’s OLTA AIN “an exceptional player-long Bek player who can play on both sides.”

“They are a physical team in the middle,” Guardiola added. “(Eliot) Andersen is a top player. They have a good goalkeeper (Matz Sels) and experienced defenders.

“Four ahead create many things for themselves- (Callum) Hudson (-odoi), (Anthony) Elanga, (Morgan) Gibbs-White, (Chris) Wood.”
