Another former Old Trafford legend is crowded with Ruben Amorim

Andy Cole supported Wayne Rooney, claiming that Manchester United is no longer an attractive option for elite players.

Rooney recently said that he would not sign for United today, although he is a club record goalkeeper after a wonderful 13-year spell with the Old Trafford Club.

And Cole, who won five Premier League Crowns and the United Champions League under Sir Alex Ferguson, admitted that he agreed with Rooney’s gaze.

Said the former English international Betmgm: “I saw what Wayne (Rooney) said and I could get where he was coming from.

“If you have the top five players who could be on the move in the summer and do you have all the big clubs watching them, what is the players attracted to Manchester United?

“At the moment, all other big clubs have football leagues and fights to win their leagues. Manchester United is likely to end up in the lowest position of the league in the years and could not easily have the Champions League football.”

You get one hit – Cole

He added: “As a professional footballer you get one goal and when you get to a certain age, you want to play in the largest European competition and want to compete for titles in the largest leagues around the world.

“If someone doesn’t give it to you, like Manchester United, look elsewhere – it’s just a fact.

“Wayne does not dig, he just says that it is.”

United is in the middle of the second disappointing season and sits 14 in the Premier League after collapsing from the FU Cup in Fulham on weekends.

Ruben Amorim has done a little influence since replacing Erik Ten Hag in excavation, but he will hope for a better one when he takes his side to San Sebastián tonight to face Real Sociedad in the first part of their Europa League, a circle of 16.
