Former Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere talked about Gunners potential employment of Andrea Bert as their new sports director.
It seems that Aliadiere will think that the head of Atletico Madrid will make a move to take over from Ed to Emites Stadium, while he also expects to see it Arsenal move for Matheus Cunha.
Cunha, currently in Wolves and enjoys the top season, is known Berta, who signed him for Atletico several years ago.
Aliadiere expects that it could be a connection that makes sense, and Arsenal would certainly benefit from bringing talent like Cunh to give them more options in the attack.
The Brazilian can play throughout three three, so it could be ideal or give the side of Mikel Artete more goal threat in the center, or a little spark from a wide to take over the pressure with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Discussing Berti and Cunha in an interview with Aceodds.com, as he quoted MetroAliadiere said, “Berta knows Cunha from their time in Atletico Madrid, and that could be an agreement that passes.
“He has a great season in a team that fights for the fight against relegation. It shows you how good he is and how quickly he adapted to the Premier League. And he could be a good signature.”
He added, “I think it is sound and what I read this morning, it seems that Andrea Berta is at the moment a man in position. There seems to be just a little detail, so it seems he could be new.
“He has a great experience and in Atletico Madrid is 12 years. If you look at the inscriptions he did and what the club achieved, it is very exciting. Very, very exciting.
“If we look at the job he did to Ed from when he came in and where Arsenal was, the signatures he did, I think he did very well. You don’t work in Atletico along with Diego Simeone if you’re not very good at your job, so I’m very excited. But of course, we hope we sign some big players now.
“It’s very exciting and we hope that Berta are good ties with the players he signed in the past can help Arsenal. I think you should have a great relationship with Arthte.”
