Another intriguing option would be an undisputed light-technical title between the Dmitry buffalo and David Benavidez. The undefeated David Benavidez was the number one candidate in 168 to two years, but champion Canelo Alvarez managed to avoid him.
Knowing that he would never get the opportunity to fight for the title, David Benavidez moved until 175. After he announced the unanimous victories of the decision over Oleksandr Gvozdyk and David Morrell, Benavidez proved himself as a legitimate candidate for the title of lightweight category.
For the last few years, 34-year-old Dmitry Bivol has been very active, and at a press conference after the fight, Bivol has suggested that he take the rest time and heal several minor injuries. So far, the buffalo is the king of light weight and he has many options, but we will have to sit down and wait to see what his next move will be.
