The Newcastle Boss Eddie Howe is looking forward to the “watering” finals Carabao Cup against Liverpool next month.

Howe said Sven Botman would miss a Saturday visit to League One leaders with a knee problem that is not thought to be serious just that he just returned from a cross -ligament injury.
“I don’t think it will be available this weekend. He knocked on the opposite knee due to an ACL injury,” Howe said.
“It’s not a serious injury, but it will keep it from Birmingham before we evaluate it next week.”
‘PSR has changed our employment strategy’
Newcastle did not sign any players during the recently closed January, and Howe said that the PREMIER League profit and sustainability rules means that they focus more on developing talents, not the purchase of finished stars.
He said, “The star making is something that the club had a vision since I arrived. The guys from another building (academy) can really help develop and flourish (players) and nurture them in the first team.
“With PSR, I think we are probably more weighted in that direction. If you can spend one or two gems, it can have a huge difference and help try and achieve everything we want here.
“There is still room for signing established players and must exist because of the club’s size as we are. It’s a mix of both really.”
