Manchester United Flop Antony He spoke about his future after going to Real Betis this January.
The Brazilian internationary struggled to show his best form in Man UTD, despite seemingly looking like an extraordinary young talent when he was on books at his former Ajax club.
Remains to see if Antony can revive his career with BetisBut it seems that he feels happier now after leaving Old Trafford this winter.
Asked about his situation and potential conversations about a constant move, Antony said he would have to wait until later, with the player now just focusing on enjoying his football.
Antony certainly didn’t look very happy or confident in United, and his comments now suggest that this could be a big question for him.
“I had other offers, but when Betis showed up, I felt security in my heart that made me stay still. I am happy here and want to achieve many goals,” said the 24-year-old AS.
“I’m happy here for everyone, for managers and players. I feel calm and confident. I want to find my best version, and the first step is happy. Everything is amazing here, my family and I are happy. Now is the time to work to be in his best version and helped the club.
“I went through difficult times. If I have to stay longer, I would have to talk to the president and everything. And for now I want to play and score goals and give assists. I have to help the team, we can talk about it later.”
MUFC fans are unlikely to be desperate when Antonij returns to the club, so it will hope that this loan will prove to be an opportunity for the former Ajax winger to put themselves in the store and attract permanent offers this summer.
