Evaluation of offensive and defense positions Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have become one of the largest dynasties ever gathered. They are on the verge of immortality with a chance to become the first franchise in the history of the NFL, which won three consecutive Super Bowls.

The bosses have not arrived at this position with a stupid happiness or the help of judges (despite what some NFL fans can claim). They came here because they are one of the best organizations in professional sports and have a complex list with high -level players in every position.

Let’s analyze the KC position group group, give each unit a grade from A to F.

Quarterback – a

Patrick Mahomes is the best NFL striker, even when he is statistically one year old. During the season in which he failed to fulfill his annual average in the passage of yards, the passage of Touchdown and the rating, Mahomes still won 17 of the 18 games started and led by Chiefs to Super Bowl.

It is also worth noting that the fall of the year we mean – 3,928 passing meters and 26 Touchdown with a stop of 67.5% – would be a career year for 98% of all other return attacks in NFL history.

You can’t give QB chiefs except A.

Running back – d

I am convinced that Isiah Pacheco is a prolonged absence really harmful to KC’s running. Pacheco did not look immediately after returning from the injury at the 13th week. Since then, it was an average of 29.3 rush meters per game.

Kareem Hunt took over a part of the pressure from Pachec, but his numbers are not much better. The 29-year-old back is only good for 55.7 land yards per game.

Patrick Mahomes made up more than 30% of KC’s playoffs. This tells me that the chiefs running the back does not manage to meet the expectations.

A wide receiver – c

Broad KC receivers were good enough to help the team reach the third consecutive Super Bowl.

Rookie Wideout Xavier Worthy named it for himself with 11 catchy catch on 13 targets. His 130 playoffs for receiving the yard is the second on the chiefs only Travis Kelce. He has become one of the most important players in Kansas City.

Juju Smith-Schuster, Hollywood Brown and Deandre Hopkins did not illuminate opponents, but appeared at critical moments with six combined catch at 106 meters (25.1% of all KC Courts).

The bosses were fine but not special.

Solid end – a

The Celce Travis must have a switch that turns on when the playoffs starts. After completing the regular season with 51.4 Jards per game and three Touchdown, Kelce now records an average of 68 meters per competition and already has a goal in two post -season games this year. In addition, he almost doubled his yards on reception (8.5 during the regular season compared to 15.1 in postseason). As long as Travis Kelce stepped into the field with the chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, he has the potential to play as the best narrow end of all time.

Noah Gray backup can also do things to question. He is a good running blocker and is an average of more than 2.2 catch per game this year, which is more than enough when you support Travis Kelce.

Offensive line – c

Creed Humphrey was the best center in the NFL during the regular season, according to Pro Football Focus’ assessment system. He had the highest grade of blocking the aisle for centers and the second high class of running. Still, beyond it, the abusive Chiefs line is not great.

Jawan Taylor gave up seven bags during the regular season. Joe Thuney allowed the bag as well as two goals in the playoffs. Mike Caliendo and Trey Smith combined themselves for the bag and three QBs affect this postseason.

After handing over 2.4 bags per match during the regular season, the KC offensive line has already allowed Patrick Mahomes to collapse five times in two playoffs. Coate it with bad rush numbers, and you have an average offensive line.

Defensive line – a

Of the ten bags that Kansas City defense has in this postseason, nine came from defensive ships.

The defensive end of George Karlaftis looked like a match player against the Houston Texans after finishing with three bags in the afternoon. He also had a significant impact on the AFC Championships with four total fights.

We must also give flowers to Chris Jones, who in the playoffs was the highest transient defense move. Despite the constant triple teams and double teams, his four supported fights are related to the third on the bosses.

On top of all, four other defensive lines of KC have at least one bag in this postseason.

This is probably the deepest unit of chiefs and groups that currently play the best.

Linebacker – b

Drue Traequill, Leo Chenal and Nick Bolton were three guys who came up with the KC Lini Corps. Traquill is attached to the team leadership in the overall fights (14), while Bolton is third in total numbers (11). After that, there is a big gap until we pick up with Chanel, which has six overall fights.

Both Swayze Bozeman and Cam Jones have support. However, almost all the production of Linebacker Kansas City comes from the three guys mentioned.

I will give Transquill, Chanel and Bolton a, not ac because they were asked to play so many defensive shootings. Their consistent availability is extremely important for the success of the KC on that side of the ball.

Cornerback – c

The brief place of Chiefs has one really good player, followed by a bunch of average guys who were solid during the playoffs.

With three passage passes, Trent McDuffie was one of the most pronounced league attacks in this postseason. In addition, he allowed only seven admission to 136 defensive shootings (the worst of all the return of the playoffs).

Jaylen Watson gave up three catch and has only one breakthrough breakthrough. Meanwhile, Joshua Williams and Christian Roland-Wallace combined for two solo fights.

If it wasn’t for Trent McDuffie, the KC -Tame Room would be the weakest unit of the team.

Security – a

Although sometimes lined up on the back, Chamari Conner made a difference as security with 14 total problems, bags and forced fumbers. At the same time, Justin Reid has 12 own struggles to break through the passage, as well as four pressure, which is most among the security in the playoffs.

Those two guys herself would be a great safety room. But the heads still have Bryan Cook, Jaden Hicks and Nazee Johnson, who combined in two games for 24 fights.

The bosses have Playmakers on all sides in a safety position. This could write problems for Jalena Hurts and Philadelphia Eagles, who were last in post -season passage (138.7 meters per game).
