Trump wants Ukraine rare earth elements in exchange for military help

President Trump on Monday stated that he wants an agreement for rare earth elements and other Ukraine articles in exchange for continuous military assistance in the country’s war against Russia.

“We hand them the money from the hand. We are giving them equipment,” Trump said Monday.

“We are looking for an agreement with Ukraine, where they will secure what we give them with their rare land and other things,” he told journalists at the Oval Office.

“I want to have the security of the rare earth,” he added, appearing that it refers to rare earth elements, which refers to a specific group of materials that are only deposited in relatively small and relatively small quantities can be used in various applications Including electronics, health care and batteries.

It is unclear whether Trump’s desired agreement would refer only to elements that are considered rare lands or if he is also interested in minerals such as lithium and titanium, of which Ukraine has a significant supply.

To existing Ukraine “Victory Plan”, The country said it would work to supply its strategic partners “natural resources and critical metals that are worth trillions of American dollars”, including uranium, titanium, lithium and graphite.

Ukraine may not be the only foreign supplier in Trump. Mike Waltz, which Trump has touched as national security advisor, he has said That Trump’s search for Greenland is about minerals and other natural resources.
