Stephen Espinosis revealed that the champion in the lightweight category of WBA Gervont Davis wants to fight the opposition “Top Tier” moving forward after March 1 is the defense of the title against Lamont Roach.
The goals of the top layer
Espinose says it could be Shakur Stevenson and a rematch with Ryan Garcia, who would consider a “top layer”. He did not mention other fighters, like Keyshawn Davis, William Zeped, Raymond Muratalla or Andy Cruz.
Stephen focuses on fighters who are a well -known boxer public and move the needle. Ryan Garcia would bring his huge social media following a rematch against Gervont. Espinose says the weight should decide because Ryan fights at 140.
He probably will not agree with any provisions of the weight that Truck would ask for after burning last time when he stupidly agreed to a clause of a catch and rehydration clause.
“He doesn’t want to do anything less than a top -notch layer. I think he’ll insist on fighting like Shakur. Some of that size,” Stephen Espinoza said IFL TV What kind of Gervont fighting is Davis will wish after defeating Lamont Roach on March 1.
“Maybe it’s Shakur. Maybe it’s Rovenian Ryan Garcia or something. I don’t think we will see him in any less of those types of fighting moving forward,” Espinosis said.
Fans frustration
Tank Davis will have to prove that he is willing to fight against top opposition because fans will not take him to his word. He has struggled with the same type of soft jobs throughout the 12-year career, and people will not believe he can change their ways.
Boxing fans have become tired of watching Tank Davis Cherry to choose the opposition, which is not a threat to beat him.
Although he remained undefeated using this tried -and -out and true method, the disadvantage is that his growth is limited and prevented him from being more popular. It can definitely continue to take soft opposition, but it will not bring large PPV numbers.
